in an effort to keep in touch with you guys a little bit better, I’m going to try blogging from my phone all week! Woo! I post pictures on Facebook all the time, so its just as easy for me to share them here too, and keep a regular content stream coming at you. Hope you enjoy!

There’s a gelato place just down the street from our apartment here in Madison, and it sure hit the spot today! Pomegranate and strawberry-banana gelato, with a scoop of cake batter underneath. delish!

and 88 degrees today meant the lake was a popular retreat, so we wandered out by the dock to check it out.

What do you do to beat the heat?

Finally getting around to repainting our work tables today. the flat paint we originally painted them with scuffed up really easily and it was impossible to pick paper up off of them, so they all got a nice fresh coat of glossy today. We’re off to the gelato cafe down the street while they dry!

i got a new toy last weekend (because R said i deserved it, next up: a miter saw for him)

a 27-in iMac! it’s pretty much the coolest purchase i’ve ever made. it’s an absolutely incomparable upgrade from my 13-in MacBook that i’ve had for 4 years (though that still works perfectly, it was just getting way too small and now that i’m not in school anymore, the transportability was no longer necessary), which has now become R’s new recording machine. it’s all hooked up to the amps and mics so he can make pretty, pretty music. :)

& yes, i’m the dork that photographed “the unveiling” of said new toy. you can ask R, i was literally squealing and i think there was a happy dance involved.

i shall now be able to start on all of those photo projects i have been putting off until i had a bigger screen. :D yay!
